Hurricane on the Bayou transports IMAX viewers to one of America's most vibrant regions-the legendary city of New Orleans and the Louisiana bayou that is its lifeblood.  Here in this unique place overflowing with life, love,  music and breathtaking natural beauty, the film captures the heart and the soul of a people undaunted by even a monster storm.  The story is told through personal experiences shared by much-loved Louisiana musicians whose lives were dramatically affected by Hurricane Katrina:  blues guitarist and environmental activist Tab Benoit;  jazz pianist Allen Toussaint;  Zydeco specialist Chubby Carrier;  and teenage pop fiddler Amanda Shaw.  The soundtrack includes not only their songs, but also the music of such renowned Louisiana icons as rock'n'roll pioneer Fats Domino;  fabled blues pianist Charles Brown;  the innovative Zydeco band Zydeco Force;  four time Grammy winner Aaron Nevile, whose sweet, soulful voice has long been linked with the spirit of New Orleans;  acclaimed blues queen Marva Wright; and beloved boogie-woogie pianist Dr. John.

Proceeds from CD sales not only benefit the Louisville Science Center, but also the Audubon Nature Institute.  Audubon education programs emphasize the importance of saving Louisiana's vanishing wetlands-before a national treasure is lost.
