If you're interested in having fun, meeting new people and helping out the Science Center, consider becoming a Science Center volunteer. We welcome teens ages 14 and older, and adults of all ages. Many of our valued volunteers are retirees who are willing to share their time and experience.

VolunTeen Program
Grades 9-12
Teen volunteers must be in the 9th grade or higher. (teens presently in the 8th grade are eligible for the Summer 2012 VolunTeen program) For more information and an application, please send an email or call 502-561-6100 ext. 6141. 

Adult Volunteers
The Visitors Services Department is seeking outgoing and friendly volunteers to work in the Information Booth and/or the IMAX Theatre. Both morning and afternoon shifts are available Sunday through Saturday. An orientation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. and repeated on Saturday, November 5, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. For more information and an application please send an email or call 502-561-6100 ext. 6141. 

What do Science Center volunteers do?
Science Center volunteers work in the exhibit halls, IMAX Theatre and Gift Shop, and greet and assist guests.
Download volunteer job descriptions. Help is needed Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on weekends (morning and afternoon shifts). Occasional evening shifts are available.

As a Science Center volunteer, you will receive:

• 15% off purchases at our Subway restaurant while on duty
• Free admission to Science Center exhibits and IMAX® film previews
• Free admission to a variety of social activities year-round
