KidZone
Why wait until you grow up?
They'll zoom across the sky in an airplane. They'll race through the streets of Louisville in an ambulance. They'll board a bus headed for fun. In a spaceship, they'll explore the far reaches of the galaxy. Along the way, they'll discover the wonders of water and build their own creations in the construction zone. KidZone opens regularly for 45-minute sessions. Tickets are free to members and included with paid Science Center admission. Tickets may be requested at the Admissions Desk. The gallery's doors are closed 10 minutes after the session has begun. Groups of 10 or more must reserve a session at least one week in advance and must be accompanied by one chaperone for every five children. Members-Only Mornings are special back-to-back sessions for Louisville Science Center members held in KidZone. The sessions are held every Tuesday morning from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and on the first Saturday of the month from 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All activities are completed 15 minutes before the session ends. KinderScience Mornings are offered several times a year for children ages 7 and younger to enjoy the entire Science Center all to themselves. Walk-up activities, demonstrations, IMAX films and a KidZone session are included in KinderScience Mornings. Next sessions: October 24, 2007; December 12, 2007; February 27, 2008; and April 23, 2008. To make reservations, call (502) 561-6100, ext. 6111.
