Science Celebrations 2010

Science Celebrations
Celebrate science with us during these times when specialized activities are available at no additional cost!

World Water Week
> March 20-22

Dive into the Science Center’s world water celebration! Students will explore the scientific properties of water, its importance to the world we live in, and the water-related issues we are facing in our own community.

NanoDays
> April 1-3

A celebration of things so small you can't even see them with your eyes. See free "small science" demonstrations and labs, fun walk-up experiment stations, and displays from local universities and companies who use this tiny science in the big world.

Celebration of the Young Child
> April 12-16

Bring your little ones out to play during the Week of the Young Child!  Activities will spark the curious nature of young children and encourage them to ask, seek, play and create. Teachers and families will be inspired to engage young inquisitive minds in everyday learning.

Messy Afternoons
> Every Thursday and Saturday, noon-4pm

Science gets a little sloppy during Messy Afternoons.  Get your hands dirty as you play with all things slippery, slimy, sticky, and squishy. Activities are intended to introduce children seven and under to science, and yes, you might get a little messy.
