<p><strong>Visitor Services Representative</strong><br />
<strong><em>Part Time-Seasonal</em></strong></p>
<p>Visitor Services Representatives are the first contact our visitors have at the Louisville Science Center. A friendly demeanor and glowing attitude are a must. Successful candidates will have prior retail cash handling and customer service experience.</p>
<p>Position Requirements:<br />
• Minimum High School graduate or equivalent diploma. <br />
• Experience in a professional office environment, including answering the phones and data entry. Sales and light clerical skills desirable.<br />
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.<br />
• Must be able to work 20-30 hours per week and be regularly scheduled on a shift requiring weekend, weekday and/or evening hours. <br />
Cover letters should include seven day week availability.</p>
<p>The Louisville Science Center is open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Derby Day.</p>
<p><strong>Workshop Program Educator<br />
<em>Part Time</em></strong><br />
The Workshop Program Educators engage visitors of all ages in educational and entertaining experiences as a part of free and fee-based workshop programs for the Louisville Science Center. Educators will work with the public; special groups such as cub scouts and girl scouts, and teach in a variety of settings such as camp programs, family programs, birthday parties, overnights, and family science nights.</p>
<p>Educators may also present programs in outreach settings including schools, festivals, and at other museums or cultural attraction locations.</p>
<p>Position Qualifications:<br />
• At least two years of college; with coursework in science, mathematics, technology, education, recreation or liberal studies. <br />
• Satisfactory part-time or full-time work or volunteer record in roles requiring public speaking and interaction with the general public of all ages and abilities. <br />
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.<br />
• Must be able to work up to 20 hours per week and be regularly scheduled on a shift requiring weekend and/or evening hours. Educators may also work weekdays during school breaks and holidays.<br />
